"Remembering Our Heroes" Brick Recognition
Remember or honor a loved one with a personalized brick at the 6th Cavalry Memorial Garden on Barnhardt Circle. The Memorial Garden features the World War II and "Operation Iraqi Freedom" monuments. Both monuments list the 6th Cavalry soldiers who died while serving their country. The Memorial Garden is located in front of the flagpole of the Army Post at Fort Oglethorpe (1902-1946).
This patriotic tribute is open to all regardless of military service or branch of service. All proceeds benefit the 6th Cavalry Museum.
To purchase a Brick, fill out this form and mail to the museum or submit your information below. Payments can be mailed in with the form or submitted online through our store. Please note that you are allowed up to 3 lines of text per brick and each line allows up to 16 characters, including spaces between character.
Thank you for supporting the 6th Cavalry Museum. Volunteers are an important part of the museum, lending expertise, creative skills and hands on work. Volunteers are needed to care for the collection, man the front office and help with our special events. You’ll work with the Executive Director and other volunteers interested in telling the story of the “Fighting 6th Cavalry” and the rich military history of the Army Post at Fort Oglethorpe. For more information contact Chris McKeever at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling706-861-2860.
